Ken Foreman is ICMP's Head of Business and Marketing courses and the Programme Leader of our BA (Hons) Music Business and Entrepreneurship degree course.

As an artist, producer, composer, consultant, and artist manager, Ken can boast of over thirty-five years’ experience in the music business. His wealth of experience, across many different sides of the industry, give him a unique insight as a teacher.

As founder member and lead singer of the band Thrashing Doves, he signed a major deal with A&M Records in 1985. The band went on to release three albums worldwide,  touring extensively in the USA and throughout Europe. Following the break-up of the band, Ken embarked on a career as a record producer, establishing Electric Wonderland Productions Ltd to develop new artists in 1995.  

Ken has made records for labels including Elektra Entertainments, East/West Warners, Chrysalis, Sony, Palm Pictures, RTI/S4, Toshiba/EMI, and Almo. There followed a number of years, managed by Pan-American Ad agency, Amber Music Ltd, composing music for commercials. Ken's compositions have featured in many US and European campaigns, including Adidas, Bass, Vauxhall, Tennants, Benetton, Foxes, Titleist, Bell Atlantic, and 7 Up.

Alongside, Ken's role at ICMP, he also works as a consultant music business advisor and is director of his own music publishing company, Doves Hit Songs Ltd. whose catalogue is licensed through Chris Blackwell’s Blue Mountain Music Ltd. Ken continues to find time to work as a songwriter and record producer, as well as developing, promoting, and occasionally managing new acts.
