After graduating from ICMP, and receiving the “Best Student” award at her Graduation in 2012, Abi Murray became the first winner of the Reverbnation Songwriting Competition 2013.
She has also been a finalist for the Shure Audiojack Vocal Competition and continues to gig at top London venues including Floridita, Shepherds Bush Empire, The Alleycat, Ronnie Scott’s and The Bedford, Balham (Supported by Ed Sheeran.)
Over the last few years, Abi has performed as a backing vocalist for numerous artists, performing in established venues such as the IndigO2. She toured for 9 months with the Jackson Live in Concert UK tour and was a session vocalist for numerous projects. In 2012, ABI was part of the London Olympics Closing Ceremony, dancing alongside Darcey Bussell and The Royal Ballet. As a side-project, ABI also plays flute and bamboo flute for ICMP’s Orchestra We Are Children (We Make Sound), a contemporary music ensemble.
After releasing her debut EP, 2015 saw Abi continuing her live performances, including not just one but three different slots at the Isle of Wight Festival.
