Daughter | Songwriting | ICMP London

Elena Tonra (Songwriting), Igor Haefeli (Songwriting) and Remi Aguilella (BMus Drums) together are the folk-pop band Daughter, formed after the trio met during their time here at ICMP.

After signing a deal with 4AD Records, the home of artists such as Bon Iver, Iron & Wine and The National, Daughter have gone on to find international success, headlining their own world tours and performing at worldwide festivals such as SXSW and Glastonbury.

Their debut album 'If You Leave' was released in March 2013 charting at #16 in the UK. The album contained the previously released singles 'Smother' and 'Youth'. The record was named 'Album of the Year' at the AIM (Association of Independent Music) Awards 2013.

Elena, Igor and Remi released their second album in early 2016. The follow-up to 'If You Leave', entitled 'Not To Disappear', was released to acclaim from fans and critics alike, and was supported by a sold-out world tour across the UK, Europe and North America.

In 2017, following Daughter's announcement of a career break, singer/songwriter Elena started her first solo project, Ex:Re. Her eponymous debut album was released in February 2019, with the likes of Clash Magazine and Loud And Quiet among others.
