Eddy Hackett is currently teaching our Live Events & Festival Management programme.

Eddy Hackett is a percussionist, educator and creative producer based in London. He gained a BMus from the Royal Academy of Music in London and a MMus from the Manhattan School of Music in New York where he was an entrance scholar. He will begin a PhD at King’s College London in 2024, titled: ‘Orchestrating Immersion: integrating and examining immersive performance production within Classical Music performance’.

Eddy has performed with over 30 leading symphony orchestras and opera houses globally (often as guest principal), including the Royal Opera House, London Philharmonic Orchestra and Philharmonia Orchestra. As a chamber musician, Eddy has collaborated artists such as Kian Soltani and Peter Eotvos, performing at venues such as the Wigmore Hall, Tonhalle Zurich and University of St Andrews, where he was Artist in Residence during their 2018 New Music Week.

He frequently gives performance masterclasses and guest academic lectures (on the subject of creative enterprise) at higher education institutions across the UK, Europe and the Far East including the Royal Academy of Music, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Tokushima Bunri University in Japan.

In 2017 Eddy co-founded and became a director of The Lost Estate, a production company that transforms site-specific locations into immersive Arts experiences which fuse extraordinary theatre, dance, live music, stunning dining and craft mixology into unforgettable nights out. A proudly independent commercial venture, The Lost Estate has established a profitable and sustainable financial model for the Arts which is thriving and growing rapidly.

Lost Estate productions have played to over 100,000 guests, gathering countless 5-star reviews from audiences and critics alike. In 2022, The Lost Estate opened its first flagship permanent home in West London. In 2024, the company will open its 2nd venue in Peckham as well as international productions in China and the USA.
