Terry is a founder member of Basstech (part of The Guitar Institute, now ICMP), who has spent much of his international career recording and performing as bassist of choice for some of Britain’s finest musicians, including jazz virtuoso Martin Taylor (Spirit of Django), and Steve Hackett (Genesis).
He is currently composing for and performing with Quadrant, a modern jazz-fusion quartet, and performing regularly at Jazz 825’s artistic heritage recreation projects.
This considerable international professional performing and recording experience informs his teaching and research interests, including performance traditions, professional expectations, performance psychology, praxis, and pedagogy.
