Live in session: Frida von Hertzen
Watch our Higher Diploma student Frida von Hertzen perform her track 'Broken Line' as part of our #RecordedonAudient Sessions...
Our Audient studios are at the heart of ICMP and we've been welcoming some of the best student talents to come and record a live session with us.
ICMP Higher Diploma student Frida von Hertzen followed in the musical footsteps of Foxgluvv and Richard Fairlie and spent a day in the studio recording with us. She performed her track 'Broken Line'.
Commenting on the song, Frida said:
"I wrote this in my bedroom in London after I moved here. It was an outlet for a lot of emotions that had been building up for quite a while. I was looking back at a relationship and had so many mixed contradictory feelings so I decided to put them in a song. The chords came very quickly and I've been constantly refining the lyrics ever since."
We also asked Frida a few questions when she joined us. Watch the full interview below...
What have you enjoyed about your time at ICMP?
The ICMP environment is safe, yet challenging - there are many opportunities but you still have the space to develop in your own way.
I’ve developed my vocal skills and my musical tool box by working across different genres, many I didn't even know. I thought I’d didn’t like some of them but it turned out I didn’t know much about them.
What’s been keeping you busy?
I’ve been writing a lot on my own music, recording and writing and collaborating with various producers here at ICMP. I'm hoping to do some more gigging and release more music later in the year...
