"My name is Nat, and I am enrolled in the Creative Musicianship course at ICMP. Before joining ICMP, I worked in a small studio, teaching rap sessions to young people. I thoroughly enjoyed teaching rap and engaging with the students. However, over time, I realised that while I was focused on helping others, my own creative pursuits were being neglected. This prompted me to consider dedicating a few years to refine and develop my own skills.

The decision to focus on my personal growth led me to explore educational opportunities, and a recommendation from a friend who attended ICMP guided me in this direction. During the interview and audition process, I was particularly impressed with the feedback I received from Vic, my tutor who provided insightful advice on how to improve and grow as an artist. This feedback was a significant factor in my decision to choose ICMP.

What I enjoy most about ICMP is the facility to book rooms for recording sessions. Additionally, meeting new people, especially other musicians, has been incredibly inspiring. Observing the diverse projects they are working on and their creative processes has been enlightening. I've been dedicating a lot of time to production, which involves sampling, mixing, and learning drum patterns, as well as extensive recording sessions. The availability of rooms for extended periods is very beneficial, allowing me to perform multiple takes as needed.

Students are always encouraged to take risks, innovate, and push the boundaries of their artistry. This creative freedom, coupled with access to state-of-the-art facilities and a network of industry professionals, makes ICMP more than just an educational institution—it's a launchpad for the next generation of musicians.

The music scene in London is vibrant and dynamic. I appreciate the variety of events available and the collaborative spirit among musicians. There are numerous jam nights where everyone is welcome to perform on stage, which I find to be an exciting and enjoyable aspect of the amazing music community here.

As I continue my journey at ICMP, I look forward to the countless opportunities that lie ahead. The experience here is not just about honing one's musical abilities but about crafting a vision for one's future in the music industry."
