Ace, ICMP's Head of Industry Partnerships and Business Development, recently visited our Italian partner school, the Hub Academy in Montecchio.
The weekend featured an action-packed schedule of events with Ace providing students with a guitar masterclass of Skunk Anansie songs and styles, live performance workshops, and two live shows across the weekend.
For the first show, Ace joined vocal tutor Laura Albeiro on acoustic guitar for an intimate evening in a restaurant hosting a photography exhibition with images taken by Hub Academy owner, Luca Pellizzarro.
The second gig was a fully-fledged rock show at Vicenza favourite, the Drunken Duck.
This event saw students from all courses coming together to form groups with Ace joining them on stage. They performed versions of Skunk Anansie hits they had rehearsed in the daytime.
Commenting on the trip, Ace said: "It was wonderful to get to the The Hub Academy in person after the long wait of lockdown restrictions."
I was delighted to be surrounded by happy faces of all ages enjoying performing together and making music. I am so looking forward to welcoming them to ICMP to show what we have to offer here too!"
Both venues for the live events were packed, and the performances were well received by attendees.
Many of the students and tutors involved are looking forward to visiting ICMP for the London Music weekend. This takes place twice a year in May and December where students receive tuition at ICMP and the chance to perform in a London venue.
