Congratulations to ICMP BMus in Popular Music Performance alumnus Simone Langui who recently performed at the Royal Albert Hall with composer OKIEM.
OKIEM is a celebrated composer and pianist who Simone has been performing with as part of a tour supporting UK soul legend, Beverley Knight.
Simone completed his studies with ICMP in 2019 and has since launched a successful career as a live and studio session musician.
Posting on Instagram about the gig, he said:
Honoured to have finally played at one of music's great sanctuaries - the Royal Albert Hall! It was such a special experience."
Simone's career has been full of highlights since leaving ICMP. He has worked at various studios including Abbey Road Studios, Dean St. Studios in Soho, London, and dBs Music Studios in Berlin.
He has also collaborated with different producers, including contributions to works produced by Brett Shaw (Foals, Florence + the Machine, Lady Gaga, Gorillaz, The Kooks, and more) at 123 Studios, London.
