Decca Records visited ICMP for an afternoon of auditions with our students to find the stars of tomorrow.
The day saw Decca’s A&R team watch a number of ICMP students and alumni perform.
Commenting on their visit, Zara Tso, Decca Record’s A&R, said:
ICMP supports and develops students in their journey to reach their ultimate musical potential; it is clear from the vast roster of incredibly talented, dynamic and motivated individuals that the ICMP strives to enable students to attain credible and life-long sustainable careers within the creative industries.”
Organised by our Careers and Industry Hub, Decca Records’ representatives were just one of many visits from music industry professionals, companies and labels to visit ICMP.
James Brister, ICMP Industry Liaison executive, said:
"We had a great day welcoming Decca Records to ICMP and showcasing our wealth of student talent to them.
Inviting experts from organisations such as Decca is one of our key roles at ICMP as the Careers and Industry Hub and plays an integral part in helping our students get themselves 'industry-ready' during their studies with us. To receive constructive feedback from Decca is invaluable when developing as an artist.”
Decca Records was established in 1929 and is home to the likes of Jeff Goldblum, The Wandering Hearts, Aurora and many more.
