Each week, ICMP's dedicated music career development team, The Hub, will be drawing your attention to a track by one of our current students or graduates that's attracting significant industry attention.
This week they've selected BA Creative Musicianship graduate Matt Maltese's latest release, 'No one won the war'.
ICMP SPOTLIGHT: 23rd May 2017
'No one won the war' - Matt Maltese
The UK’s answer to Father John Misty
Fresh from a storming performance this weekend at Brighton’s Great Escape Festival, Matt has recently been described by NME as “the UK’s answer to Father John Misty”. His latest track ‘No One Won the War’ has just had its audio release and follows quick on the heels of the fantastic single ‘As The World Caves In’. Matt was also recently selected as Apple Music’s ‘New Artist of the Week’ and has previously seen praise from Burberry and Radio X among many others.
Signed to Atlantic Records, Matt also recently played at Live at Leeds Festival and will be on stage later this year at Latitude Festival, amongst a host of other performances across the UK.
How The Hub helped Matt
ICMP's career development team The Hub were involved in helping advise Matt through a range of early career choices while studying at ICMP. The team are big fans of Matt's work and look forward to watching his continuing success unfold!
