With so many amazing successes, it’s hard to keep track of what ICMP students and graduates are achieving! So we thought we’d help a little by highlighting a track each week from a selected ICMP artist who is already attracting industry attention and starting to make waves in the business, putting one of them under a Spotlight of our own.

'Won't Be Long' - Swedish Death Candy
Swedish Death Candy are a psychedelic, experimental rock band made up of Louis Perry on guitar and vocals, Francesco Codardo on guitar, Jiwoon Whang on bass and Marco Ninni on drums. The band met and studied on various courses at ICMP, including the BMus Popular Music Performance degree and the Creative Musicianship degree.
Known for their incredible shows featuring psychedelic lights and visuals combined with energetic and sweaty performances, the band is now signed to Hassle Records and released their most recent EP ‘Liquorice’ in 2016. They supported American band Wand and English alternative rock band Yak in their respective UK dates and regularly play across venues in London and internationally, including a recent slot at Eurosonic Noorderslag 2017 in the Netherlands.
The band was one of five acts chosen to perform at our Industry Showcase held in April 2015 at the exclusive Hospital Club in Covent Garden, and soon grabbed the attention and interest of several record labels and management companies. The Hub also directly recommended Swedish Death Candy to Hassle Records.
