Nicky Stein is a music lawyer at the Entertainment law firm Clintons. He qualified in 2001, specialising in music and entertainment law, and was made a partner in 2007. He has advised both recording artists and writers in all aspects of the music industry, as well as acting for various record, publishing, production, and management companies
His clients include Vampire Weekend, The Script, Disclosure, James Blake, Haim, The 1975, London Grammar, Laura Marling, Plan B, James Bay and Kwabs. He was instrumental in the sudden explosion of interest in Vampire Weekend in 2007. Haim once sang Happy Birthday to him, from the stage of Santos Party House in New York City.
Nicky remains a respected and in-demand music business lawyer, dividing his time between London, Los Angeles, and New York.
