Tony Orchudesch, Founder and Managing Director of Torchlight Music Ltd, has run his Music Consultancy for over 30 years.
Tony previously studied law at Leeds University, followed by a 10 year period as Copyright Manager and then Business Affairs Manager in the music publishing industry, working for companies such as EMI and Island Music.
His expertise is in music rights, supervision and music production, as the company advises advertising agencies, film companies and a wide range of other clients on music searches, rights negotiations and other music consultancy services.
Torchlight also has a roster of experienced composers & arrangers, writing scores for films, television programmes, commercials, trailers, sponsorship idents, corporate productions and online platforms. They produce bespoke music, re-recordings and sound design beds.
They have worked with hundreds of established brands, from Subway, Dreams Beds, Harvey’s Furniture, Aldi, Sekonda and Samsung, to broadcasters BBC 1, Channel 5 and Amazon Prime, to name but a few.
Alongside continuing to oversee Torchlight Music Ltd, Tony now teaches at various Universities and Music Conservatoires. He has an in-depth knowledge of copyright issues and the media, which appeals to music and business studies students alike.
