Charlotte Hatherley, Programme Leader for ICMP's Creative Music Production course, has contributed original music to the soundtrack to 'Dustborn', a new game from Red Thread Games.

The track, 'Good Time to Cry', is a seventies style rock rack that features alongside a soundtrack and score put together by the composer and producer Simon Poole.

'Dustborn' is a road trip style game following the adventures of the main player character, Pax. Pax has been hired to transport an important package from Pacifica to Nova Scotia, across the Justice-controlled American Republic.

The main character and her gang travel undercover as a punk rock band with music at the centre of the game.

Posting on Instagram about the project, Charlotte said: "[It] was a real pleasure to write and produce a 70s soft rock inspired song for 'Dustborn', a new video game from Red Thread Games.

Huge thanks to Audio Director/Composer Simon Poole for getting me on board, and also allowing me to shred on some of his tracks."

The game is available for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series XS, and Xbox One.

Charlotte has also been keeping busy over the summer months, playing at various festival gigs with Mercury Prize nominated Bat for Lashes to support new record, 'The Dream of Delphi'.

Performances have included London's iconic Barbican while she has also recorded a live session at Maida Vale Studios.
