Davide 'Shorty' Sciortino is a Vocal graduate of our BMus Popular Music Performance degree.
Whilst at the ICMP, Davide helped form the soul band Retrospective for Love with several other students, and became one of the ICMP's most active musicians. The group were one of the five selected to be part of our Industry Showcase at the Hospital Club in Covent Garden, and also performed at our Tunnel to Tunnel festival back in May 2015 at London Fields Brewery.
After completing his studies here at the ICMP, Davide auditioned for his native Italian version of The X Factor, impressing the judges with his first performance of Paolo Nutini's 'Iron Sky'. Davide proceeded to make it through the 'Bootcamp' and 'Judges' Houses' rounds, gaining countless fans along the way. After singing and rapping his way through the live shows, Davide finished a very impressive third in the X Factor Italia final, with his X Factor single , the self-written My Soul Trigger reaching number 10 in the Italian charts.
