Fraser T Smith is a Grammy and Ivor Novello winning music producer and songwriter based in London. Now one of the UK's most successful producers, he's worked on many of the past decade's biggest releases for the likes of Adele, Sam Smith and Stormzy.
During his career so far, Fraser has co-written, mixed and produced 7 Number One singles in the UK, 2 Billboard Number One singles in the US, and contributed to 18 Number 1 albums!
Fraser is responsible for such hit songs as James Morrison's "Broken Strings", Taio Cruz's "Break Your Heart", and Tinchy Stryder's "Number 1", "Take Me Back" and "Never Leave You".
"Break Your Heart", written and produced with Taio Cruz, spent 3 weeks at number 1 in the UK charts. and reached #1 on the US iTunes chart. The pair also set the record for largest jump to number 1 (in 2010) on the Billboard Hot 100 by an act with its first charting single when "Break Your Heart" leaped from 53 to No1.
Fraser also wrote the song ‘Set Fire to the Rain’ for international superstar Adele on her Grammy-award winning album ’21’, which reached number 1 in the USA. He produced and wrote songs for Sam Smith’s number 1 album ‘In the Lonely Hour’; the Kaiser Chief’s number 1 album ‘Education, Education, Education and War’; and also for Lily Allen’s number 1 album ‘Sheezus’.
In 2016, Fraser teamed-up with Stormzy to produce his debut album 'Gang Signs & Prayer', which won best album at the 2018 Brit Awards. In 2018, Fraser also produced seven tracks on Kano's 'Made in the Manor' album.
In 2018, Fraser won an Ivor Novello award for his work on South London rapper Dave’s EP ‘Question Time’. Following this Fraser was in charge of the executive production on Dave's 2019 debut album'Psychodrama' . The album debuted at Number 1 on the UK Albums Chart, received widespread acclaim from critics and went on to win the 2019 Mercury Prize.
2019 also saw Fraser collaborating again with Stormzy, contributing to the artist's second album ‘Heavy Is The Head’. The album reached Number 1 on both the Official Singles and Albums Chart, in January 2020.
