Nectar Woode is a singer/songwriter-producer based in London and an alumna of ICMP's BA in Creative Musicianship degree.

Influenced by the wistful sounds of soul icons, Minnie Roperton and Deniece Williams. Nectar delivers impactful vocal harmonies with a warm use of jazz guitar harmony to create a dreamy melancholic sound.

Since finishing her studies with us, Nectar has been busy working on her music and playing live, supporting Isaac Gracie and performing at the Wild Fields Festival. She played a festival stage alongside Sampa The Great and Ezra Collective.  She also secured a coveted support slot with David Gray at Manchester's Opera House, as part of BBC Radio 2's beloved Piano Room series.

Her five track debut EP, 'Nothing to Lose', was released in February 2024 and showcased her skills at weaving together soulful sounds with folk and leftfield pop textures.

Clash Music described her as a "blossoming London based songwriter, merging her deep passion for jazz improvisation with key influences such as Lauryn Hill or even contemporaries such as Cleo Sol".

Alongside her songwriting, Nectar also hosts the Women in Jazz show on Soho Radio, a platform set up to celebrate and champion female creatives working within this genre.

She was also the recipient of funding via the PRS Foundation's Women Make Music Fund to support her touring activity.
