Congratulations to Luke Bullard, ICMP BMus Popular Music Performance alumnus, who has spent most of the year on tour with BRIT Award winner James Bay.

Luke studied with ICMP between 2013 and 2015 and ever since leaving our classrooms, has been working as a session guitarist and private tutor.

Between working for various agencies, as well as having a long list of private students, he has been able to balance touring and gigging with tuition, including opportunities with Amber Ru, Smokie and Nate James.

2023 has seen Luke perform at some of James Bay's huge gigs including supporting Bruce Springsteen at London Hyde's Park, the Isle of Wight Festival and at London's iconic Royal Albert Hall.

Posting on Instagram after the Royal Albert Hall gig, Luke said:

After a few days I think it’s finally sunk in that I got to play the Royal Albert Hall. This has been my bucket list venue for as long as I could remember. I used to live next to, and walk past it every day for a year. I would sit on the steps in front of it and call my parents for a catch up every week."

Previously, Luke had a major role in setting up the high-end entertainment company, Rattle & Shake, predominantly dealing with luxury and international events.

You can follow Luke on Instagram for more updates on his music.
