ICMP’s talented students and alumni have been busier than ever over August, releasing a heady mix of well received new music.
Running from grungy guitars to vocal house, it’s been a great month showcasing the breadth of musical abilities that passes through ICMP. Listen below now…
Kate Lomas
Our previous ICMP Spotlight and songwriting alumna Kate Lomas has been turning plenty of heads this summer with her upbeat indie pop. Her latest track ‘Drink 2 U’ made Spotify’s New Pop Revolution playlist and we can see why.
Honey Lung
Grunge upstarts Honey Lung feature Omri Covo (BMus alumnus) on drums and Danny Smartt (BMus student) on guitar and have been enjoying a great run over the last 12 months. Recently signing with Killing Moon Records, their latest single 'Sophomore' has been an underground hit since its release.
Vangelis Polydor
Currently on tour with mentor Boy George and his outfit Culture Club, our vocals alumnus Vangelis has seen the world touring with the iconic band as a backing vocalist. He’s now releasing new music on George’s label. Listen below to 'Borderline' and read our previous interview with him.
Amy Darling
Amy Darling is a Nashville-based singer songwriter and ICMP songwriting alumna specialising in a contemporary take on classic rock stylings. Listen to her new track 'Rock'n'Roll Woman'.
