The F-List for Music Research Conference is to be held at ICMP with the event exploring 'The Culture and Politics of Music Systems'.

Taking place on 21st-22nd May, the conference will see many members from the ICMP community participating and presenting.

Lucinda Allen, Dr Naida Buyse, Professor Sophie Daniels, Dr Catherine Anne Davies and many MA Songwriting students and alumni including Lucy James will be among the speakers.

A keynote talk will be delivered by F-List for Music Founder Vick Bain with much of the content of the two-day event discussing the recent developments with the Misogny in Music Women report and the government consultation on copyright and AI.

Commenting, ICMP's Sophie Daniels said: "We're very much looking forward to hosting the next F-List for Music Research conference at ICMP, particularly when so many members of our community are associated with the initiative."

The event has continued to evolve and get better each year with an amazing calibre of guest and discussion - in 2025, conversations will be particularly pertinent in discussing how music systems can be overhauled for the better for enhanced gender equality."
