Well done to Fire In Her Eyes, an all-female psych-pop trio made up of ICMP students and alumni who were chosen to support our BA Creative Musicianship tutor Lisa Canny at her recent sold out gig.
Taking place at London's 229, the night saw a great performance from the group, who feature BA Songwriting alumni Gabrielle Gordon and Daniella Livingstone, and current BA Creative Musicianship student Natasha Livingstone.
The band has enjoyed a great year with their latest release, 'Aladdin's Cave' , mastered at the nearby Abbey Road Studios and earning some great reviews.
Commenting on securing the slot, the Fire In Her Eyes said: "We saw the opportunity to support Lisa advertised on the ICMP Facebook page.
We thought our sound would really suit this slot so we applied to perform our acoustic set. Luckily we were chosen to play."
The actual gig went very well; the crowd had a buzzing atmosphere and everyone was really enthusiastic and complimentary of our performance."
"There was also a nice, friendly vibe with Lisa and her band/entourage - we were so blown away by how talented they were!"
Speaking about Fire In Her Eyes in our recent interview, Lisa said:
"I heard their music and was immediately blown away. Their musicality and music making skill is brilliant."
