Mash P’s Learning #2 | The Journey has Begun

We are delighted to welcome artist Mash P to our six-month Music Production and Sound Engineering course as part of a newly launched Audient sponsorship.

I want to say thank you to ICMP for the environment, the equipment, studios and the space for people like me to learn, and I’m happy to be around the music school. Also, thank you for the equipment given to me from my Audient sponsorship.

It’s a pleasure to be in the school. I want to say thanks to the tutors and staff for their encouragement, as they are really helpful.

For a guy like me, from the streets, this means a lot because people don’t judge me here. That’s the most important thing. It gives me a chance to interact with others and learn things I never knew about the music industry."

The beats I create are much more balanced now and I am experimenting with new sounds. I feel much more confident which impacts on the way I feel in general. I’m really hoping at some point we can book the main studios to work in. I’d really like to monitor my work and hear my sounds I create for myself in a professional studio environment.

Thanks to the entire team for giving me the chance to study at ICMP. I hope that one day I will do a degree course here because it has moved me and shows me that I’ve still got a chance, I can have a second chance…
