We were delighted to welcome experts from across the music business for an exclusive masterclass to share their advice with our students on how they can launch their careers.
The Working in the Music Business event, organised by our careers team in The Hub, saw Catriona Lundie-Loggie, senior recruitment consultant at Handle Recruitment and Gabby Endacott, A&R at Good Soldier Songs, share their wisdom alongside Yannis Iliopolous, BA Music Business Module Leader and Yasmin Rai, former ICMP student.
Topics included how to get a job in the music industry as well as what people look for from their applicants.
Commenting on the session, student Aislin Evans said:
The Working in the Music Business event was really helpful in understanding the realities of working in the industry at entry level, and what people look for in applicants."
It was great to hear from an HR manager as well as from people currently working within the industry in different areas. It was also really refreshing to see a panel with three female speakers! Everyone was eager to share their advice, field questions and chat with students afterwards."
