ICMP is delighted to announce a new partnership with the Source Park skate park in Hastings to offer our students experience of hosting and running live music events.
The new collaboration will see participants on our new BA Live Events Management degree promoting events in Source Park's exciting space.
As part of the partnership, students will work on four live events to be held at Source Park. Three will take place in the park's courtyard while a fourth will be inside a new event area and presented in collaboration with Hastings promoters, Hasting Fat Tuesday.
Ace, Head of Industry Partnerships and Business Development, said: "I’ve always loved the iconography and culture surrounding skateboarding which is why I’m really pleased we’re collaborating with the brilliant Source Park in Hastings."
Hosting a series of events in this fa new space will be exciting for our students and give them a chance to learn first-hand what it takes to plan and manage a successful live gig."
Ken Foreman, ICMP's Associate Dean and BA (Hons) Music Business and Entrepreneurship degree Programme Leader, said: "We're excited to be partnering with Source Park on this series of live gigs in their great space in Hastings."
From promoting and marketing the events to helping ensure they run smoothly on the day, our Live Event Management students will have a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the essential experience they need to prepare them for successful industry careers."
Students will work on booking acts, then setting up and running events on the day. They will have the opportunity to book local acts alongside ICMP bands and performers.
