ICMP Songwriting alumna, the German-born, London-based artist Kahlla, has released her first bilingual single, 'Night Drive'.

The track is the third single to be taken from her forthcoming 'Matters of the Heart Pt 1', a project which has been co-written and produced with fellow ICMP alumnus, Jules Konieczny (Alfie Jukes, Essence Martins, APRE).

Commenting on the single, Freya said: "'Night Drive' was written about the pang of nostalgia you get after a relationship ends, thinking back to all the little mundane things you used to do together that you now have to do alone. We mixed a lot of different sonic components together on this song."

I wanted to do something different on this track and since both German and English feel so integral to my personality, it's fun I got to unite them both for my first ever bilingual release."

To date, Freya's music had seen features and placements with NMF UK, Fresh Finds, Amazing Radio, BBC Introducing and more. She's also seen her music streamed more than 500,000 times and headlined a sold out London show.

The full EP 'Matters of the Heart Pt I' will be released on 6th December.

Freya will also be headlining the Waiting Room in London on 6th February 2025.
