Our Careers and Industry team actively support and nurture all the musical talent to pass through ICMP and are responsible for selecting our weekly #ICMPSpotlight artist.
This week they've chosen to shine the spotlight onthe band The Valla, featuring BA (Hons) Songwriting student George Coulson.
ICMP SPOTLIGHT: 9th July
'THERE FOR YOU' BY THE VALLA
'There For You' is the latest single from The Valla, a London based band which features current ICMP students. Co-written by BA (Hons) Songwriting students George Coulson, Daniel Jacklin and Rosheen Bond, the song was recorded by Andy Hall Hall, who has worked with artists such as The Wombats and Bastille.
It showcases the band’s dark lyrical content, crossed with their hooky pop-inspired melodies and elegant harmony.
Inspired by artists such as Catfish And The Bottlemen and Sam Fender, the band describe their style as ‘Music for damaged souls’, appealing to anyone searching for the deeper meaning of life in the modern world.
The band have already played multiple London venues and will keep touring over the summer.
Keep up to date with The Valla on Facebook and Instagram.
