With so many amazing successes, it’s hard to keep track of what ICMP students and graduates are achieving.
So to help, we're now highlighting a track each week from a selected ICMP artist or band already attracting industry attention and starting to make some serious waves with music lovers and critics alike.
ICMP Spotlight: 29th August
'Sophomore' - Honey Lung
Why the track has been selected
Signed to RYP Recordings, energetic grungers Honey Lung, featuring current BMus Drums degree student Omri Covo, have been picking up some serious musical momentum over the last year.
It all started with the release of their debut EP ‘Kind of Alone’ in 2016 as a three piece. The EP lit the blue touch paper on their career, seeing them expand their line up and take their music to many of the live music circuit's key venues. Their career has continued to pick up pace with their loved latest single, ‘Sophomore’. They have regularly performed at venues in London and around the UK, garnering hype from the likes of BBC Introducing, Killing Moon and Clash Magazine for their ace energetic live outings.
Other highlights for the band include performing at a range of festivals such as The Great Escape, When In Manchester, Leeds and Reading Festivals. You'll be able to catch them on tour with Citizen across the UK and Germany in October.
