Our Careers and Industry Hub actively support and nurture all the musical talent to pass through ICMP and are responsible for selecting our weekly #ICMPSpotlight artist.
This week they've chosen to shine it on our BA Songwriting alumnus Paul Usher and his great debut single, 'Jesus Is A Preston Boy'.
ICMP SPOTLIGHT: 27TH NOVEMBER
‘JESUS IS A PRESTON BOY' - PAUL USHER
‘Jesus Is A Preston Boy’ is the great debut single from our BA Songwriting alumnus Paul Usher, a new rapidly rising talent combining an Amy Winehouse-esqe honesty and wit with contemporary pop and production sheen.
A self-taught pianist from the age of 12, Paul is inspired as much by Childish Gambino as he is Oscar Wilde with his debut being premiered by Attitude Magazine who dubbed it ‘a striking first impression’.
A favourite from our Songwriters’ Circle events, including our LGBT History month showcase, we’re excited to see where he and his music head next.
