Gianna Gehlhar is one of our new members of faculty for the academic year 20/21 and teaches on our BA (Hons) Music Production for Film, TV and Games programme.
Gianna is an experienced educator in Music Production, Songwriting, Vocals and the Music Coding Software Sonic Pi. Her qualifications include a diploma in Opera Singing at Dr Hoch’s Konservatorium Frankfurt, a BA in Musicology and Economics at Humboldt University Berlin, and a Diploma in Contemporary Music Production at SSR London.
She is also a singer, songwriter and producer for the experimental-pop project JYLDA.
JYLDA is Italian-German, Gianna Gehlhar's musical alter ego. Her work revolves around the pop song, but with a darkness reminiscent of FKA Twigs, Björk and Caroline Polachek. With the Jylda project, Gianna has supported many incredible artists, including Zola Jesus.
