Spotlight March From The Wardrobe YouTube series

The ICMP Spotlight aims to support as many students and alumni as possible in their personal careers within the music industry.

Whether you'll be working on a musical, joining a cover band, starting out as a booking agent/artist manager/music journalist/etc, we want to know all about it and support you with any possible means.

Each month we present a student or graduate music project, making it our #ICMPSpotlight.

'FROM THE WARDROBE'• A YouTube performance series
by MA Songwriting student Kitty O'Neal

March (Kitty O'Neal) is making use of this time at home to perform some original and covers tracks directly from... Her wardrobe!

Her new 'From the Wardrobe' series of videos is updated weekly on her YouTube channel. The first song she performed is called 'The Night'.

This little song about being a control freak fell out of me on a Friday night, and I recorded a demo of it straight away.
"Big pandemic mood", says my sister who I semi-roast (along with my other two siblings) in verse 1."

The second video from the wardrobe is a cover of 'Graceland' by Phoebe Bridgers, taken from her latest record 'Punisher'.

March is an artist from the U.K. based in London. With folk, indie and experimental influences, she blends together these moods creating a unique atmospheric pool of smooth layered vocals, interweaving guitar melodies and unexpected yet catchy hooks.

In 2019 she released her debut EP 'Wear Me Down' securing a slot at Glastonbury festival and gaining attention from BBC Introducing Solent, The South and Radio 6 'Fresh On The Net' blog. March is set to release her debut album ‘All of the Above’ in 2021, part-funded by Help Musicians ‘Do It Differently’ grant. March has supported artists Rae Morris, Rozi Plain, Band of Skulls, Maz O'Connor, and Meadowlark.
