ICMP’s Audrey Riley is the latest guest to appear on 'Sounds Like These' podcast.
The series, hosted by ICMP’s Marketing Team’s Lara Magnelli, features a different ICMP tutor discussing their music careers, offering insight on their experiences both in the classroom and the wider music industry.
Previous guests have included the likes of Catherine Anne Davies (The Anchoress), Lia Mice, Charlie Thomas and many more.
In this new episode, Lara chats with Audrey Riley, cellist, composer, arranger and Musical Director with over 30 years of experience, currently teaching on our BMus in Popular Music Performance and Masters in Popular Music Performance programmes.
Audrey has enjoyed huge success with some of the biggest artists in popular music, including the likes of Coldplay, the Foo Fighters and The Smiths.
Commenting, Lara said:
I was so excited to chat to Audrey - I grew up listening to a lot of the tracks and albums she has worked on. It was an honour for me and I can't wait for people to hear the amazing stories Audrey shared during our conversation."
In the interview, Audrey discusses some of the work she’s credited on and how it was to contribute to these classic tracks.
She also discusses her love of teaching and how this role gives her the opportunity to challenge her beliefs around music and more.
