With so many amazing successes, it’s hard to keep track of what ICMP students and graduates are achieving.
So to help, we're now highlighting a track each week from a selected ICMP artist or band already attracting industry attention and starting to make some serious waves with music lovers and critics alike.
ICMP SPOTLIGHT: 12th September
'HOW GOLDFISH GROW' - PLASTIC BARRICADES
From alternative indie to soaring rock, London outfit Plastic Barricades feature our alumna Daniele Borgato (BMUS Bass) and Frazer Webster (BMUS Drums) and are about to launch their debut LP, ‘Mechanics of Life’.
The album is much anticipated and the culmination of three years of hard work of gigging, practice and honing their songwriting craft.
The tune ‘How Goldfish Grow’ is taken from the record and landed earlier in summer accompanied by the band’s first ever animated music video.
Drawing comparisons to the likes of The Shins or Radiohead, the song received much positive press not only from the British media, but also from hacks in USA, Japan and Canada building on past nominations for Oxjam Band of the Year and MTV Brand New. Their music has been featured in Channel 4 shows such as Hollyoaks and they will be touring the UK this Autumn.
