ICMP SPOTLIGHT: 27TH February
‘CRYPTIC LOVE’ - IYAMAH
Iyamah, aka as our current BA Songwriting student Sophie Bond, is a burgeoning musical talent distilling the best of Erykah Badu and Lauryn Hill into a classic, yet contemporary sound.
Raised in Brighton and now based in London, Iyamah’s debut single ‘Cryptic Love’ is a great blend of neo-soul and R&B and has been getting some positive heat from the likes of Colorising, Trench and Dummy magazine, with the latter premiering the track.
Previously, she's performed at Glastonbury with My Nu Leng, as well as enjoying slots at SXSW and Latitude. Look out for more music and live outings from her including a slot at this year’s Boomtown Festival this August.
