ICMP’s BA Creative Music Production student Ary Amato has been profiled in Audio Media International for its Next Generation Spotlight feature.
The online publication focuses on the music technology industry, championing producers and engineering talent as well as the latest studio innovation.
The spotlight feature offers a detailed profile of Ary and her career to date.
Commenting on the interview, Ary said:
"I came across the Audio Media International team through the 2% Rising Facebook group, created by Katie Tavini and Jenny Burclaig, to allow womxn and non-binary producers/engineers to network and access resources and work opportunities.
This feature represents for me a further reach towards other artists and producers I could collaborate with. It is also a good way to share my experience and the projects that have been keeping me busy this year."
2020 has seen Ary work across a variety of projects including multi-media as well as her work with rock band The Road Atlas.
“2020 has obviously been a weird one but it’s allowed me to approach fields within music production that I wasn’t considering before. I became more interested in working on media projects such as short independent films and visuals.
"Plus, I have been playing as a lead guitarist and Ableton programmer with The Road Atlas, an activity that also kept me quite busy and motivated. Completing a bachelor's degree at ICMP also played an important role in helping me to achieve my goals."
