ICMP is delighted to announce the launch of our new MA Commercial Songwriting and Production.
The programme is the latest addition to our Masters series, joining the MA Songwriting course already offered by our Songwriting Faculty.
This new course is aimed at those looking to enjoy a career as a commercially successful songwriter, producer or artist and create hit tracks in an ethical and innovative way.
Sophie Daniels, ICMP's Head of Songwriting, said: "We are delighted to be launching this up to date and bespoke MA Commercial Songwriting and Production Masters Programme for 2024."
"We have long been regarded as the leaders in Songwriting higher education, having brilliant graduates such as Daughter and Bear's Den in our alumni family, as well as writer producers such as Jordan Shaw and Kaity Rae."
"The ICMP Masters Songwriting programme attracted a world wide base of extraordinary researchers whose innovative work has taken that community of practice to a whole new level. This has been ground-breaking and has multiple applications in the world of music, but is not always commercial."
We saw that we therefore needed a new programme at the advanced level for writer producers and commercial songwriting artists to hone their craft. We now can't wait to get started with them in 2024."
Modules included on the new course are Music Production for Songwriters, The Business of Songwriting, Songcraft, Commercial Repertoire Development and Commercial Songwriting Portfolio.
The programme culminates with an assignment tailored to personal and professional interests.
Students will need to complete a large-scale body of creative work in the form of a commercial songwriting portfolio.
