Whether you’re a new or returning student, you can still enjoy the full ICMP experience. The good news is that we’re still hosting events – and lots of them, too. In fact, you’ll have access to more events than ever before – they just may look a little different this year, with a mixture of both virtual and face-to-face activities.
COVID-safe events – our renowned calendar of events not only helps you make new and often lasting connections with fellow musicians and artists, but it allows you to embrace your ICMP experience and really feel part of our music community. So, to ensure you can still live ICMP life to the full during this time, we’ve put a range of hygiene and safety measures in place, such as social distancing, sanitation stations and more, so you can stay safe at events and let the good times roll.
Face-to-face connections – our goal is to help you advance your music career with confidence, and this underpins every event we plan. Making connections can really shape your student experience and career direction, and taking advantage of our extensive links with the global music industry is key to the ICMP experience. During term time, as always, you can attend networking events, perform at gigs (in-person or virtual), and make a difference working on community projects. You’ll learn from experts in discipline, genre and instrument clinics, as well as at masterclasses with notable industry professionals sharing their knowledge and tips to help drive your music career forward.
Virtual activities – you can also jump online to access our range of ever-popular ICMP events, like live, interactive Q&A ‘In Conversation’ sessions, our flagship Songwriters’ Circle with special guest songwriters, intimate gigs, and even our Inside Scoop webinar series to help you find out the ins and outs of student accommodation, how to navigate ICMP as an international or mature student, and generally how to get on top of the basics of student life.

Careers Festival
Our five-day online Careers Festival saw a host of leading music industry experts offering their advice and guidance on how to break-through in the music industry in a post-COVID world.
Students and alumni had the opportunity to learn, expand their network, apply for jobs and equip themselves for career progression through webinars and 1-2-1s.
Head to the Hub – To make the most of the networking opportunities at ICMP, getting in touch with our Careers and Industry Hub is an excellent first port of call.
ICMP Life - Our online community platform
All our students get access to ICMPLife.com - a one-stop resource connecting you with our network of alumni working across the music and wider creative industries.
It will help you find experienced mentors, exclusive job and performance opportunities, events and webinars, and even give you the chance to work on live industry briefs.
You'll retain access even after you graduate!
All this and more is waiting for you in September. We look forward to seeing you then.
