Natalie Gauci is a platinum-selling singer-songwriter and producer from Melbourne, Australia. From chart pop to jazz to club music, Natalie has released a string of successful records in a diverse array of styles and genres. A graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts, she has been teaching singing for over a decade.
Natalie’s career began at a young age, with roles in the Richard Franklin film Brilliant Lies and Australian sci-fi series, Ocean Girl. In 2007, she won the fifth series of Australian Idol and went on to sign a deal with Sony BMG. Her subsequent album, The Winner’s Journey, won critical plaudits, a place in the top twenty, and sales of over 70,000 copies.
Since those heady days, Natalie has successfully taken back control of her career, working with indie labels, dance producers, and forming the electro-pop duo Tune in Tokyo with co-producer Paul Brandoli. Tune In Tokyo’s debut single entered the top five in the Australian dance charts, and further collaborations with Pleasurekraft, Jack & Joy, Alexander Fog, and Jeanette Von Der Burg followed. Natalie’s jazz-inflected second album, Ha Ha Ha, was released in 2012 and a third is expected imminently. Natalie remains a unique and uncompromising artist with rare integrity.
